At the age of 12 years he was recognized as the reincarnation of the previous 5th Khube Rinpoche, one of the founders of the Monastery of Khanang (Tibet), a Lama devoted to the care of the disabled people. In the early 80s, after having lost both parents, Khube Rinpoche moved to Bylakuppe in South India to undertake the traditional studies of Buddhist philosophy at Sera Jè Monastic University. After 15 years of intense study and rigorous discipline Rinpoche received his Geshe Lharampa degree. Rinpoche then continued his studies at the College of Tantric Gyume, completing his philosophical knowledge with the rites and rituals of tantric path. Lama Khube Rinpoche teaches to a growing number of students in Italy and is popular for its fresh and direct style, geared to everyday life, in presenting the philosophical and in conveying the profound and vast teachings of the Buddha. Renouncing the monastic life, Rinpoche actively devoted himself to Karuna Home, a unique center for disabled children in South India, founded in 2004 with the blessings of His Holiness the Dalai Lama. www.karunahome.org
